The Goods and Service Tax – An Introductory study written by CA Sudhir Halakhandi in the ICAI CA Journal at the time of start of initial discussion of GST in India has been used as a reference article in the GST bulletin of the Loksabha Secretariat. This bulletin is prepared to introduce the Members of Parliament with the basics of the Goods and Service Tax.
The bulletin has 11 references in it and out of which 6 references have been taken from the Loksabha and Government’s published Material and 5 references have been taken from the write ups and articles of 4 writers. The one article The Goods and Service Tax- An Introductory study written by CA SUDHIR HALAKHANDI is also part of it which was written by the writer in the ICAI CA Journal “The Chartered Accountant Journal” at the initial stage of introduction of concept of GST in India.
CA Sudhir Halakhandi, a Rajasthan based Chartered Accountant has written more than 500 articles on Direct and Indirect Taxes in almost all the Tax Journals of the Country and is also a regular writer for “Tax guru”.
The much awaited constitutional amendment bill to make a way for GST is passed by Loksabha and it is referred to a committee in Rajyasabha. The bill is to be ratified by half of the total Vidhan sabhas (State assemblies) of the country before getting the approval of Hon. President of India.
