In the steepest hike ever, state- owned oil companies today increased petrol price by about Rs 5 per litre with effect from midnight tonight. The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation plans to carry out the fieldwork of this Census during January to June 2012, in collaboration with all State and Union Territory Governments.
