THE appointment of CVC may be spewing controversies but the CVC as an institution has been doing its job. On the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week it set up a toll-free hotline number 1800-11-1180. For this purpose, 10 dedicated phone lines have been installed in the Commission for lodging complaints by citizens. These complaints are forwarded to the Chief Vigilance Officer/Competent Authority concerned for taking necessary action and report.
The Central Vigilance Commission’s toll free number accessible to all citizens in all the States/UTs of the country. There is no proposal to install separate facility in the States/UTs.
This was stated by the Minister of State Mr V.Narayanasamy in written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha yesterday.
