Shree Cement Limited, India’s third-largest cement producer, has reported a substantial 24% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue for the quarter ending 30th September 2026. The company’s revenue rose from ₹4,761 crore in the same quarter last year to ₹5,897 crore, driven by a significant 18% rise in total domestic sales volume, which increased from 7.91 million tonnes to 9.31 million tonnes.
The company also witnessed a 4% growth in consolidated EBITDA, which reached ₹1,016 crore, up from ₹974 crore in the previous year. However, the consolidated per ton EBITDA saw an 8% decline, primarily attributed to elevated fuel prices. Despite this, Shree Cement’s focus on premium products has paid off, with sales of these products accounting for 28.7% of the total trade volume, up from 21.1% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
In terms of capacity expansion, Shree Cement has made significant strides. In September 2026, its subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates, Union Cement Company, commissioned a new cement mill with a capacity of 3.0 million tonnes per annum. This expansion has increased the total cement production capacity in the UAE to 7.0 million tonnes per annum. Additionally, in India, the company is progressing with the development of a greenfield integrated plant in Meghalaya, expected to be operational by March 2028.
Shree Cement continues to prioritise sustainability, with 65.2% of its total electricity consumption coming from green sources in Q2 FY27. The company is also enhancing its green power generation capacity, which currently stands at 667 MW. All manufacturing locations have achieved Zero Liquid Discharge status, contributing to a water positivity index of over eight times for the fiscal year 2025-26.
The outlook for the Indian cement market remains positive, supported by ongoing infrastructure investments and urban development. Despite potential challenges from a weak monsoon affecting rural demand, the continued focus on infrastructure projects is expected to sustain cement demand. Shree Cement’s strategic initiatives and robust financial performance position it well for sustainable growth in the coming quarters.
