Mankind Pharma Limited, a prominent player in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, has announced a strategic investment and acquisition plan as part of its global expansion strategy. During a board meeting held on 15th October 2026, the company approved an additional investment of up to EUR 45 million in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mankind Pharma (Netherlands) B.V. This move will increase the total investment limit to EUR 50 million, including the previously approved EUR 5 million.

In a significant development, Mankind Pharma also revealed its decision to acquire a 70% stake in Armed Cell Therapeutics B.V. (ACTx), a Belgium-based biotechnology firm. This acquisition will be executed through Mankind Netherlands, marking Mankind Pharma’s entry into the next-generation chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapies for cancer. ACTx is renowned for its pipeline of CAR-T assets, particularly its lead programs targeting non-Hodgkin lymphoma and small cell lung cancer.

The investment in ACTx aligns with Mankind Pharma’s long-term strategy to build a global innovation-led pharmaceutical business. The company aims to leverage ACTx’s expertise in developing advanced CAR-T therapies, which have shown promise in transforming cancer treatment. The acquisition is expected to enhance Mankind’s capabilities in delivering cutting-edge therapies worldwide, while maintaining its commitment to quality and affordability.

Analysts view this strategic move as a significant step for Mankind Pharma in strengthening its position in the global pharmaceutical landscape. By investing in innovative therapies and expanding its international footprint, the company is poised to tap into new growth opportunities and address unmet medical needs. As the pharmaceutical industry continues to evolve, Mankind Pharma’s focus on research and development is likely to bolster its competitive edge and drive future growth.
