Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) has announced a significant increase in its financial performance for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company’s unaudited financial results reveal a remarkable year-on-year growth, with the profit after tax (PAT) more than doubling to ₹1,364 crore, compared to ₹557 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. This impressive growth is attributed to robust performances across various business segments, including transmission, smart metering, and energy solutions.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) surged by 67% year-on-year to reach a record ₹3,548 crore in Q2FY27. This growth was driven by a strong operational performance and increased contributions from the energy solutions platform, alongside a steady distribution business. Total income for the quarter also saw a substantial rise of 51% year-on-year, amounting to ₹10,239 crore, supported by enhanced operating performance and higher service concession arrangement income.

AESL’s capital expenditure execution has been noteworthy, with transmission capex in the first half of FY27 increasing by 1.7 times to ₹5,542 crore. The company has also made significant strides in smart metering, completing 14.82 million cumulative installations, which underscores its operational efficiency and sets new industry benchmarks. Furthermore, AESL secured two major transmission projects, Vizag Power Transmission Limited and Satara Power Transmission Limited, expanding its construction pipeline to approximately ₹87,000 crore.

The company’s strategic initiatives and strong financial performance have positioned it well for future growth. AESL’s CEO, Kandarp Patel, highlighted the company’s achievements, including a significant 2.5 GW round-the-clock power supply contract with MSEDCL, which reinforces AESL’s capabilities in energy aggregation and power supply optimisation. With a robust project pipeline and prudent financial management, AESL is poised to continue delivering long-term value to its stakeholders.

Analysts note that AESL’s strong quarterly performance and strategic project wins reflect the company’s effective execution and growth strategy in the energy sector. The ongoing expansion in smart metering and transmission projects indicates a positive outlook for the company’s future financial performance.
