Indian Railways now provides its Short Messaging Service (SMS) facility regarding the status of trains running late by more than one hour to 1,373 trains including Garib Rath, Duronto, Jan Shatabdi, Suvidha, Humsafar, Superfast & Premium trains
For the passenger’s convenience, this free of cost SMS service provides the status of late running trains to all the booked passengers who had given their mobile numbers at the time of booking the ticket for both e-ticket and PRS (counter) ticket throughout their entire journey. It will help passengers plan their day and reduce some of the inconvenience.
It is said that lost time is never found again. With this service, Indian Railways aims at making your journey more timely and comfortable.
