Ravinder Singh Vs Dr. Janaki Jangpangi, Additional Director (Competition Commission of India)

Ravinder Singh filed an information alleging that Dr. Janaki Jangpangi, in her capacity as Additional Director of the Central Government Health Scheme, contravened Section 3 and 4 of the CCI Act by favoring one bidder and rejecting a competitor’s bid. The judgment examines the allegations and determines whether the conduct amounts to abuse under Section 4 of the Act.

The Competition Commission of India concludes that the alleged bid rejection does not constitute abuse under Section 4 of the CCI Act. The judgment orders the closure of the case and rejects the request for relief under Section 33 of the Act. The Secretary will communicate the decision to Ravinder Singh accordingly.
