The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, through a notification dated October 23, 2025, has established several new Registrars of Companies (RoCs) specifically for the purpose of registering and discharging functions related to Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) under the LLP Act, 2008. This move, effective from January 1, 2026, involves creating new offices and defining their respective territorial jurisdictions. Notable changes include the division of the National Capital Territory of Delhi into two separate RoCs (Delhi-I at South Delhi and Delhi-II at Central Delhi), and the state of Uttar Pradesh being split into Uttar Pradesh-I at Kanpur and Uttar Pradesh-II at NOIDA. Similarly, Mumbai and its surrounding regions in Maharashtra will now be covered by three RoCs: Mumbai-I at Mumbai (for Mumbai and Mumbai Suburban), Mumbai-II at Navi Mumbai, and an RoC at Nagpur. West Bengal and Sikkim will also have two RoCs: Kolkata-I at Kolkata (for Kolkata district and Sikkim) and Kolkata-II at Kolkata (for the rest of West Bengal). The state of Haryana is assigned a single RoC at Chandigarh. These establishments aim to manage the functions related to LLP registration across the specified regions.

S.O. 4849(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 68A of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009), the Central Government hereby establishes the following Registrars of Companies in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs specified in column (2) of the Table below having territorial jurisdiction as specified in the corresponding column (3) of the Table below for the purpose of registration of Limited Liability Partnerships and discharging the functions under the said Act, namely:-
