Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) today, July 11, 2025, released the third list of eligible trainee surveyors for the Insurance Institute of India (III) Surveyor Pre-Licensing Examinations scheduled for September 2025. This follows previous lists issued on July 1 and July 8, 2025, as part of the enrollment process initiated on February 29, 2024.
The latest list includes applications approved between July 8 and July 11, 2025. It clarifies that all enrollment applications submitted up to June 15, 2025, are being processed for the upcoming September examinations. Applicants who submitted multiple enrollments for different departments have been made eligible with only one approved enrollment number.
Key Deadlines and Instructions:
- Discrepancy Reporting: Eligible applicants finding any discrepancy in the newly published list must email kiransharma@irdai.gov.in and surveyor@irdai.gov.in by July 13, 2025, with the subject “Discrepancy in list of eligible applicants for online Surveyor Exam September 2025.”
- Previous Lists: Those whose details appeared in prior lists should directly contact the Insurance Institute of India (III).
- IIISLA Membership: All eligible applicants are advised to obtain student membership from the Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors (IIISLA) before appearing for the surveyor examination.
- Enrollment Proof: In cases of non-receipt of the Trainee Enrollment Approval email from IRDAI, applicants can use screenshots of their “Approved / Partially Approved” status, Enrollment No., and Date of Approval from their IRDAI BAP Portal login as proof for IIISLA membership and III exam registration.
- Exam Registration: Eligible applicants must register for the September 2025 online surveyor examination on insuranceinstituteofindia.com. They should only register and appear for exams in the departments for which they are enrolled with IRDAI as Trainee Surveyors. Enrollment numbers must be entered as “10000XXXXX” (10-digit only) and enrollment dates as “DD-MM-YYYY.”
Examination Schedule (Tentative):
- Registration (New Candidates) & Paper Enrollment/Subject Enrollment (Payment of fees): July 4 to July 11, 2025.
- Slot Booking: August 4 to August 9, 2025. Candidates must book their exam date and time.
- Examination Dates: September 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2025.
- Scribe Request (Physically/Visually Challenged): August 26, 2025.
- Result Declaration: On or before September 30, 2025.
Important Notes: New candidates must first register as a member with III before paying paper enrollment fees. No refunds or adjustments are permitted for any fees. If a candidate skips slot booking, the system will auto-book a slot, and no refunds or transfers will be made.

3rd List of Eligible Trainee Surveyors
1. Third list of eligible trainees for Insurance Institute of India (III) Surveyor Pre-Licensing Examinations September 2025 is attached herewith.
2. Further to the Surveyor Enrollment Notice dated 29th February 2024; First list dated 1st July 2025 & Second list dated 8th July 2025, it may be noted that enrollment applications submitted up to 15th June, 2025 shall be processed “for the September 2025 examinations”.
3. Those applicants who have applied multiple enrollments for different departments have been made eligible with only 1 approved enrollment number.
4. For any discrepancy in the list – applicants who are eligible for surveyor examination scheduled in September, 2025 are advised to email to kiransharma@irdai.gov.in and surveyor@irdai.gov.in on or before 13th July, 2025 with the subject heading “Discrepancy in list of eligible applicants for online Surveyor Exam September 2025”.
5. Those applicants whose details were already appearing in previous lists may directly approach Insurance Institute of India (III) with previous issued date of published list by IRDAI.
6. All eligible applicants are advised to obtain student membership from Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors (IIISLA) before appearing for surveyor exam.
7. In case of non-receipt of Trainee Enrollment Approval mail from IRDAI, all eligible applicants are advised to take screen shot of status of their Trainee Enrollment application under their login in IRDAI BAP Portal [showing status as “Approved / Partially Approved”, Enrollment No. & Date of Approval (Enrollment)]; as proof while applying for IIISLA membership and registering for III Surveyor exams.
8. The eligible applicants are advised to register for September, 2025 online surveyor examination on the websiteinsuranceinstituteofindia.com.
9. The eligible applicants are advised to register and appear for the examination only for the respective Departments for which they are enrolled with IRDAI as Trainee Surveyors.
10. While registering for III Surveyor pre-licensing exams, the applicants are required to enter the Enrollment No. in the form of “10000XXXXX” (10-digit no. only) and Enrollment Date in the form of “DD-MM-YYYY”.

Special Instructions:
1. No provision for paper enrollment with late fees for online examination.
2. Candidates can change center & subject using own login id on or before last date of paper enrollment.
3. Those who have enrolled for the papers need to complete slot booking process on or before last date of slot booking period. In slot booking, candidate has to select exam date, exam time as mentioned in examination schedule and download hall ticket. In online examination the booking is first come first served basis.
4. Please note that candidate will get the same center for slot booking which he/she has selected at the time of paper enrollment.
5. If candidate skips the process of slot booking after enrollment, the system will auto book the slot at available date and time. In any circumstances III will not refund or transfer the fees.
