On August 19, 2024, the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) issued Notification S.O. 3508(E) to amend the previous notification S.O. 372(E) dated February 5, 2016. This amendment designates new courts under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA) for Kerala. Specifically, it appoints the Additional District and Sessions Court-I, Ernakulam to handle cases in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Idukki, Kottayam, and Ernakulam. Additionally, the Additional Sessions Court (Marad cases), Kozhikode is designated for the districts of Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod. This update reflects the new judicial responsibilities for handling PMLA-related cases in Kerala.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th August, 2024

S.O. 3508(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 43 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (15 of 2003) and in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court of Judicature at Kerala, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance, (Department of Revenue), number S.O. 372(E), dated the 5th February, 2016 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3 Sub-section (ii),—

In the said notification, in the Table, against serial number 12 relating to the State of Kerala, after the existing entries in columns (3) and (4), the following entries shall be inserted, namely:—
