Subject : Endorsement in Bill of Entry in connection with transfer / sale of cars belonging to privileged persons – Instructions regarding.

The Board has been receiving number of complaints form privileged persons/ Missions and Ministry of External Affairs that there are cases of inordinate delays, at the port of entry for transfer of ownership of motor vehicles.

You are requested to provide expeditious and courteous services to Diplomatic Persons/ Missions approaching for effecting changes in the bills of entry for vehicles. You are also requested to look personally into the reasons for such delays and to take corrective measures immediately whenever diplomatic personnel approach you.
