FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS AUTHORITY OF INDIA
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd July, 2021
F. No. 12015/05/2021-QA.—In exercise of the powers conferred under sub section 5 of section 10 read with section 45 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), and in supersession of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India notification number F. No. 13016/01/2017-QA , dated the 28thAugust, 2018, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-III, Section 4, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby (herein after referred as FSSAI) appoints the following persons as Food Analysts, for the purpose of performing functions under the said Act and Rules/ Regulations made thereunder with all India Jurisdiction:

2. The above mentioned appointments as Food Analyst are subject to the following conditions:
i. No remuneration shall be admissible/ paid to them by FSSAI for working as Food Analyst except for Food Analysts of National Food Laboratory, Kolkata and Ghaziabad.
ii. They shall continue to draw their salary/emoluments etc. from their respective organization.
iii. Their conditions of service shall be governed by their respective food laboratories/ organizations in which they are working.
iv. They are appointed for the purpose of performing duties of Food Analyst as required and stipulated under the said Act /Rules/Regulations.
v. They shall analyze the samples of articles of food or cause to be analyzed the samples as per FSS Act /Rules/Regulations.
vi. They shall comply Orders/Directions issued by FSSAI time to time.
