Notification No. 187/2005, Dated 8-8-2005

S.O.1111(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with clause (b) of the Explanation to section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Government, on the recommendations of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, hereby approves the institutions mentioned in column (2) of the Table below and specifies the eligible projects or schemes and the estimated cost thereof as mentioned in column (3) of the said Table and also specifies in the column (4) of the said Table, the maximum amount of such cost which maybe allowed as deduction under the said section 35AC, namely:—

Construction of buildings for the education, rehabilitation, training and welfare of persons with disabilities of all categories Rs. 5.73 crores for Financial years 2005-2006,2006-2007 and 2007-2008 i.e. for three years only.
4. The Leprosy Mission Trust India, CNI Bhavan, 16 Pandit Pant Marg, New Delhi-110001. Comprehensive Rehabilitation of leprosy patients and leprosy affected families. Rs. 7.82 crores for financial years 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 i.e. for three years only.
5. Schieffelin Leprosy Research and Training Centre,SLRS Post, Karigiri Via, Katpadi Vellore – 632106, Tamilnadu Community based rehabilitation Rs. 1.00 crore for Financial years 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 i.e. for three years only.
6. Shree Pragnachakshu Mahila Seva Kunj, Nirmal Nagar Society, Dal Mill Road, Surendranagar – 363001, Gujarat. Shree Pragnachakshu Mahila Seva Kunj. Rs. 2.70 crores inclusive of corpus fund of Rs. 1.50 crores for Financial years 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 i.e. for three years only.

23. The Bridge Public Charitable Trust, Oasis, Nehru Road, Vakola, Santacruz East Mumbai 400 055. “SUJAL” water filters to be given to Adivasi communities in Shahapur Taluka of Thane district, Maharashtra. 2. This notification shall remain in force for a period of three years in relation to the financial years 2005-2006, 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 in respect of projects or schemes mentioned in the said Table.
