It is notified for general information that the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd., Hudco House, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110 002, have been approved by the Central Government as a Housing Finance Company for the purposes of section 36(1)(viii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for the assessment years 1995-96 to 1997-98.
2. The approval is subject to the condition that the company will conform to and comply with the provisions of section 36(1)(viii)
of the Income-tax Act, 1961.
