Subject: Draft Seniority List of Assistant Commissioners of Customs and Central Excise [Group A of IRS (C&CE)] appointed/promoted for the vacancy year 1997-98 to 2001-02 – reg. 

Sir/Madam,

Consequent to the orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad dated 10.04.2017 in Writ — A No.14897 of 2016 (Union of India & Another Vs Sukhjinder Jit Singh and 3 others) read with Order dated 04.03.2016 of Hon’ble CAT, Allahabad, a revised Seniority List of Assistant Commissioners of Customs and Central Excise (Group A) upto 1996-97 was published on 27^th September, 2017 under letter F.No. A-32012/34/2017-Ad.II. This Seniority List had an impact on the Seniority List of Assistant Commissioner appointed/Promoted during the years 1997-98 to 2001-02 circulated under letter F.No.A-23020/04/2012-Ad.II dated 9^th March, 2016. Hence, a review DPC was conducted and on the basis of the recommendation of the review DPC, a draft Seniority list of Assistant Commissioners of Customs and Central Excise, Group ‘A’ for the vacancy years 1997-98 to 2001-02 has been prepared and the same is enclosed. This draft will supersede the Seniority List of Assistant Commissioner dated 9^th March, 2016.

3. It is requested that the draft Seniority List of Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise & Customs, Group ‘A’ for the vacancy years 1997-98 to 2001-02 may be circulated to all the concerned officers immediately. The officers concerned may be advised to file representations / objections, if any, against the assignment of seniority as well as factual mistakes, if any, to Principal ADG (HRM-I) in the Directorate of Human Resource Development, Customs & Central Excise, Bhai Veer Singh Sahitya Sadan, Bhai Veer Singh Marg, Near Gole Market, New Delhi — 110001 (Fax: 011-23748050; email — hrml.dghrd@gmail.com), and in any case not later than 14^th June, 2018. Any representation received after 14.06.2018 will not be entertained.

4. It is also requested that, details of the officers, included in the draft seniority list, viz. name, date of birth, category (SC/ST) and other relevant details may be got verified from the service records available in the Commissionerates and changes noticed if any may please be intimated to Principal ADG (HRM-I), under intimation to this department.

5. This may please be accorded ‘TOP PRORITY’.
