PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 80(RE: 2007)/2004-2009

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2004-2009, as amended.
2. The following foot note may be incorporated below the SION S.No.G-7 and G-46 of Leather and Leather Products (Product Code G):-
a) Lactic Acid which is appearing as Deliming Agent against inputs shall not be allowed,
b) Synthetic Resins and Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose in any broad heading of Chemicals may not be allowed,
c) Any product in the name of fillers may not be allowed because formulated products manufactured by Leather Chemical Companies (as supported by their technical data sheets) are used in Leather Industry.
3. This issues in Public interest.
