Public Notice No. 35/2002-07, dated September 13, 2002, amends the Export and Import Policy 2002-07 and Handbook of Procedures 2002-07 by introducing an addition to the “Schedule of DEPB Rates.” Under the Engineering Product Group (Product Code: 61), the DEPB rate for disposable hypodermic needles has been set at 3%. The inclusion provides clarity on the entitlement for exporters of this product and is part of the government’s efforts to streamline export benefits. The notice was issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, L. Mansingh, in the public interest.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002-07 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures, 2002-07 (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following additions in the book titled “Schedule of DEPB Rates.”

1) Product Group: Engineering Product Code: 61

The following entry is added as under:
