S.O(E) In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 and Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31.3.2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made upto 31st August, 1998) and as amended from time to time:-
“ The entry relating to ‘raw cotton’ at code No.5201 in Table B of Schedule 2 and S.No.18 of Appendix 1 to Schedule 2 may be deleted.”
2. This issues in Public interest.
