NOTIFICATION NO. 35 (RE-2000) 1997-2002
NEW DELHI, 25th September 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002(incorporating amendment made up to 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the said Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002.
The following additions shall be made against the entry at ITC(HS) Code No.0703(1) relating to onions of all varieties (other than Bangalore Rose onion and Krishnapuram Onions )under the column, ‘ nature of restriction’ in “ITC(HS) Classification of Import and Export items” 1997-2002 incorporating amendments made up to 31st August, 1998 in Schedule 2 Table B in continuation of Notification No.31 (RE-2000)/1997-2002, Dt. 24th August ,2000 .
“In addition to the quantity already released, a further quantity of 50,000 M. Tonnes of onions is allowed to be exported through NAFED.
NAFED would procure the above said quantity from within Maharashtra State, and export the same either directly or through the Registered Exporters on the same terms and conditions as laid down in earlier Notification No.16 (RE-2000) 1997-2002, dt.17th May,2000.
The quantity of onions now released shall be exported by 30th November, 2000.”
