NOTIFICATION NO. 36 (RE-99) 1997-2000

NEW DELHI 1st December, 1999 

In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99) , the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002: (incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.99).

1. The following sub-paragraph (c) may be added after paragraph 9.13(b):-

“(c) Central Excise duty paid on bulk tea procured from licence auction centres by EOU/EPZ units would be re-imbursed by Development Commissioner of concerned zone at all industry rates so long as levy on bulk tea in this regards is in force”.

This issues in public interest.
