NOTIFICATION NO. 12 (RE-99) 1997-2002

NEW DELHI : 4th JUNE, 1999

In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade ( Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.3 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 ( incorporating amendments made up to 31.3.1999), the Central Government hereby makes following amendments in the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002 (incorporating amendment made up to 31.3.1999).

1. The following may be added at the end of paragraph 8.15:

“A bank authorised by RBI is allowed export of gold scrap for refining and import in the form of standard gold bars.”

This issues in public interest.
