Public Notice No. 44 (RE-98) 1997-2002

New Delhi: Dated 28th September, 1998

Subject: One-time Extension in Export Obligation for Bonafide Default in respect of Old Advance Licences.

Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 7 (RE-98) 1997- 2002 dated 24.4.98 wherein one time extension upto 30th September, 1998 in export obligation period for Quantity Based Advance Licences was provided,subject to the terms and conditions indicated therein.

2. After taking into consideration the representationsreceived from various exporters and Associations/Federations for further extension in export obligation period, the Director General of Foreign Trade,in exercise of the powers conferred upon him underParagraph 4.11 of the Exim Policy, 1997-2002, hereby extends the period of export obligation under advance licences further upto 31.3.1999 subject to the terms and conditions as laid down in the Public No. 7 (RE-98) 1997-2002dated 24.4.1998.

3. Accordingly, in Paragraph (iii)and (v) of Public Notice No. 7 (RE-98) 1997-002,dated24.4.1998,the date “30th September, 1998″ shall be amended to read as ” 31st March, 1999″.
