In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 3 of the Customs Tariff (Transitional Product Specific Safeguard duty) Rules, 2002, and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 104/2004-CUSTOMS (N.T) Issued vide G.S.R. No. 578 (E) dated the 8^th September, 2004, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri D.S.Sra, Chief Commissioner, as the Director General (Specific Safeguards) for the purposes of the said rules.
