S.O (E). – In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 and sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby appoints the Commissioner of Customs, Chennai Custom House (Sea Cargo), Chennai to act as the Joint Commissioner of Customs, New Custom House, Ballard Estate, Mumbai and authorises him to exercise the powers and discharge the duties conferred or imposed on such officer, for the purposes of adjudicating the matters relating to Show Cause Notice pertaining to M/s Hutchison Essar South Limited, Prestige Bluechip, Block No.1, No.9, Hosur Road, Bangalore and others, issued, vide, DRI F.No. 50D/52/2006-CI, dated 5th September, 2006 by the Additional Director General, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, D-Block, I.P. Bhawan, I.P. Estate, New Delhi.
