Rules to amend the Baggage Rules,1998

NOTIFICATION  NO. 76/2006-CUSTOMS (N.T)

Date: 30th June, 2006

G.S.R. 392(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 79 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government makes  the following  rules further to amend the Baggage Rules,1998, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Baggage (Amendment) Rules, 2006.

(2)  They shall come into force on the 30^th day of June, 2006.

2. In the Baggage Rules, 1998, in Annexure IV,  after serial number 14, the following shall be inserted, namely:-

Poonch District:

(15) Chakan-da-bagh

Note:- The principal rules were published vide notification No. 30/98-Customs (N.T), dated the  2^nd June, 1998, G.S.R. 296 (E), dated the 2^nd June, 1998 and  was last amended vide notification  No. 30/2005-Customs (N.T), dated the 4^th  April, 2005, G.S.R 216 (E), dated the 4th April, 2005.
