The Central Provident Fund commissioner Mr. Samirendra Chatterjee, I.A.S.,today launched Web Based Claim enquiry module at a small function organized at the EPFO headquarters. Addressing the officers and Staff of the Head Office he said the computerisation in EPFO has progressed very well. He shared that 112 offices have been computerised and EPFO as an organisation would soon be in a strong position to improve quality of service delivery. He appreciated the relentless efforts of IS Division in collaboration with NIC and particularly the technical officers and staff in achieving this. He further appreciated the Project division for conducting a very satisfying training programme that built the capacity of around 13000 staff to graduate to a computerised environment from a largely paper based environment. He further wished that the day would come soon when the unorganized sector which is ten times of the organized sector would approach EPFO for services voluntarily.

The occasion was also marked by a symbolic display of happiness over crossing the milestone of 100 computerised offices in EPFO across the country. A specially ordered cake that was made in the shape of EPFO logo was cut by Mr. B. K. Panda, Addl. Central PF Commissioner (IS) and Mr. B. Vinaya, Senior Technical Director, NIC at the request of CPFC in the presence of  senior officers and staff to celebrate the milestone of crossing 100 offices.

While thanking the CPFC and all senior officers present for sharing the collective happiness Mr Uttam Prakash Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (Project) said that the celebration was firstly a salutation to all staff and officers across the country for their dedication and hard work, secondly it reinforced the commitment to improve service delivery and lastly has a unifying brotherhood feeling not only as an Organisation but also professionally where the work processes now have been standardized.
