For the first half of FY2026-27, GAIL’s standalone Revenue from Operations reached ₹84,905 crore, marking a notable rise from ₹69,824 crore during the same period in the previous fiscal year. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) for H1 FY2026-27 was ₹11,611 crore, compared to ₹5,357 crore in H1 FY2025-26. The PAT for the first half of the current fiscal year was ₹8,943 crore, a substantial increase from ₹4,104 crore in the corresponding period last year.

On a consolidated basis, GAIL reported a Revenue from Operations of ₹88,651 crore for H1 FY2026-27, up from ₹71,086 crore in the previous year. This growth is attributed to strong performance across major segments, including natural gas transmission and marketing, which demonstrated resilience amidst external pressures.

GAIL also reported a capital expenditure of ₹7,600 crore for the first half of FY2026-27, with ₹1,425 crore spent in Q2, aligning with its annual planned capex of approximately ₹12,900 crore. This investment is part of the company’s long-term growth strategy. Operational highlights for Q2 FY2026-27 include an increase in natural gas transmission to 130.10 MMSCMD from 122.36 MMSCMD in Q1, and a rise in gas marketing volume to 97.23 MMSCMD from 93.82 MMSCMD.

Analysts view GAIL’s performance as a positive indicator of the company’s ability to navigate market challenges and maintain growth momentum. The company’s strategic investments and operational efficiency are expected to support its continued expansion in the energy sector.
