Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL), a prominent player in India’s city gas distribution sector, has announced robust financial results for the second quarter and half year ending 30th September 2026. The company reported a significant year-on-year increase in both revenue and sales volumes, driven by sustained demand for compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG).
In Q2FY27, ATGL achieved a 12% increase in sales volume, reaching 315 million metric standard cubic metres (MMSCM). This growth was supported by the addition of 16 new CNG stations, bringing the total to 723, and expanding PNG home connections by 39,574 to a cumulative 11.81 lakh. The company’s revenue surged by 34% to INR 2,102 crore, while EBITDA saw a 12% rise to INR 340 crore.
The company’s performance was achieved despite facing challenges such as elevated Brent and spot gas prices, currency depreciation, and a reduction in APM allocation due to the ongoing West Asia crisis. ATGL’s diversified sourcing strategy, which includes long-term contracts and market purchases, helped mitigate cost pressures and ensure supply reliability.
CEO Sanjay Pandita highlighted the company’s focus on disciplined capital allocation and operational excellence across various segments, including CNG, PNG, e-mobility, and biomass. This strategic approach aims to create long-term value for customers and stakeholders.
In addition to its core operations, ATGL’s subsidiaries, Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Ltd and Adani TotalEnergies Biomass Ltd, reported progress in their respective areas. The e-mobility arm expanded its network to 5,513 installed EV charge points, while the biomass division sold 460 metric tonnes of compressed biogas in H1FY27.
Market analysts note that ATGL’s strong performance amidst challenging conditions underscores its resilience and strategic foresight. The company’s continued focus on infrastructure development and energy diversification positions it well for future growth in India’s evolving energy landscape.
