Summary: DGFT Trade Notice No. 23/2026-2027 dated August 28, 2026 informs exporters, members of trade and Regional Authorities about enhanced functionalities deployed in the Bank Guarantee (BG) Repository Module on the DGFT Portal. The enhancements cover the Customer Portal (CP) and Back Office (BO) interfaces and are intended to streamline processing and facilitate proactive monitoring of Bank Guarantees. A new “Purpose” field identifies whether a BG is a fresh submission or replacement of an existing BG, while system-triggered email alerts will be sent to exporters 60 days and 45 days before expiry. Regional Authorities may generate and digitally sign communications concerning renewal/replacement of BGs, renewal notices to banks, encashment notices to banks and return of BGs to exporters. The module also provides structured BG status tracking, including Pending Acceptance, Accepted, Replaced, Returned on EODC, Encashment Notice to Bank Issued, Renewal Notice to Exporter Issued and Renewal Notice to Bank Issued. BGs declared under the Bills Repository remain in Pending Acceptance until accepted by the concerned Regional Authority, with automatic status updation to Accepted where the BG is linked to an invalidation file under AA/EPCG upon approval of that invalidation file. The enhancements are intended to reduce paper-based tracking, facilitate monitoring of expiring BGs, streamline linking of replacement BGs and enable uniform digitally signed communications. A User Manual is available on the DGFT Website, and stakeholders are requested to adopt the enhanced functionalities. The Trade Notice has been issued with the approval of the competent authority.
