The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) has cautioned the public and stakeholders about instances of unauthorised use of its logo by entities that may create a misleading impression of their regulatory status or association with IFSCA. IFSCA advised entities not to use its logo without authorisation or make representations suggesting that they are authorised, registered, approved, recognised, or regulated by IFSCA unless such status has been expressly granted and remains valid. The public and stakeholders have been advised not to rely solely on the IFSCA logo or regulatory claims and to verify an entity’s status through the IFSCA Directory on its official website before entering into transactions. IFSCA also urged the public to verify communications purportedly received from it, noting that official communications are issued through email IDs using the “@gov.in” domain. Caution was further advised while engaging with entities through digital platforms, particularly concerning boss scams, deepfakes, impersonation, and other digital frauds. IFSCA stated that suspected unauthorised activity, logo misuse, or digital scams relating to the IFSC may be brought to its notice.
