The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, issued Notification No. 09/2026-27 dated 10 April 2026 to extend the validity of the Minimum Export Price (MEP) condition on the export of natural honey. Exercising powers under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 and the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government amended its earlier notification dated 31 December 2025. The export policy for natural honey (ITC HS Code 04090000) continues to remain “Free,” but subject to an MEP of USD 1400 per metric ton (FOB). Earlier, this condition was applicable until 31 March 2026; it has now been extended until 31 December 2026 with immediate effect. The notification ensures continuity of the existing pricing restriction on exports, thereby maintaining the regulatory framework governing honey exports without altering the prescribed MEP rate or other conditions.

Subject: Amendment for extension of validity of Minimum Export Price (MEP) on export of Natural Honey — regarding.
S.O. 2258(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 read with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, as amended from time to time, and in amendment of the earlier Notification No. 52/2025-26 dated 31.12.2025, the Central Government hereby extends the validity of the existing Minimum Export Price condition of Natural Honey under ITC(HS) code 04090000 of Schedule-II (Export Policy), as under, with immediate effect:—

2. Effect of this Notification:
