EPFO LAUNCHES SIMPLE FORMS FOR SETTLING CLAIMS BASED ON UAN

EPF FORMS SIMPLIFIED

EMPLOYER’S ATTESTATION NO LONGER NECESSARY FOR FILING PF CLAIMS

EPFO has launched simplified brief forms for withdrawal. These forms are one page forms requiring only five to six types of information to be submitted. These forms are applicable to those employees who have completed their Form-11 (New) details and the employer has seeded the Aadhaar and bank details as KYC and uploaded the same to the UAN portal duly attested through Digital Signature. More than 2.00 Crore members have activated their UAN through their registered Mobile Number and those who fulfill the above said condition of KYC submission will no more be required to get their forms attested through the employers.

After leaving employment, employees were supposed to get their forms for withdrawals attested through employer as earlier it was only the employer who could identify the worker and his/her details. After launch of UAN, EPFO has started collecting the KYC details such as Aadhaar, PAN, Bank details etc. duly attested by the employer. The process of withdrawal for such employees is made very simple as the employee is not required to verify the form by his employer. He can provide mobile number, UAN and cancelled cheque of his/her bank account and address as basic details and submit the same under his/her signature. Based on his KYC submitted by employer the money will be sent to his/her bank account provided by the employer while seeding attested KYCs.

These new forms i.e. Form-19 (UAN), Form-10-C (UAN), and Form-31 (UAN) will benefit a large of employees who have provided their Aadhaar Number and Bank Account Number attested through Digital Signature.

EPFO INTRODUCES SIMPLIFIED UAN BASED CLAIM FORMS

EPF news-epfo publication EPFO has introduced simplified UAN based claim forms no. 19 (UAN), 10-C (UAN) & 31 (UAN) for those employees whose Aadhaar Number and Bank details have been seeded as KYC documents and were duly verified by the employer using digital signature and the details in Form No. –11 (New) have been completed. The defining feature of these forms is that the employers attestation is not necessary.

The Provident Fund Commissioners in-charge of the field offices have been advised to accept the UAN based claim forms from the PF members without attestation from their respective Employers. Those employees not fulfilling the conditions stipulated for using UAN based claim forms shall continue to submit their claim forms for withdrawals in the existing Form No. 19,10-C and 31.

These simplified UAN based claim forms are available on our website. Further details can be had by visiting circular section of EPFO website www.epfindia.gov.in. [Home>> for office use >> circulars>> 522.]

This will benefit large number of employees whose Aadhaar Number and the Bank Account Number have been seeded as KYC, digitally verified by the employers and all the details are available in Form No. 11 (New) since such employees will not be required to visit their respective employers for getting their claim forms attested. This will result in lesser employer intervention and will help EPFO in improving its services and would also encourage more members to activate their UAN by facilitating digital upload of required KYC information.
