We are in receipt of a letter from Directorate of Income Tax (Vigilance) , Western Region regarding Preventive/Participative vigilance – Feedback of the issues faced by our members while interacting with the Department . In this regard a meeting between the Department officers and Office Bearers of WIRC is scheduled in the next week, to ascertain the corruption issues faced by members while interacting with the officials and officers of the department at various levels.
Kindly send your issues by 11th February, 2015 to [email protected] so that the same can be compiled and taken up for discussion during the meeting with the Department officials.

No order giving effect being passed. Nor consequential refunds being issued. Even RTI is avoided and we are told that it’s system problem. Case of wellwisher construction in acit 10 refund due nearly 6 crores
I have already filed complaint with Belgaum Dy Director (Investigation), reg directors purchasing of shares and huge investment in one of the sugar factory I.e. M/S ********************,Hirebenur,but nothing has happened, pl do something,the Statutory Auditor M/S***************Of Belaum Is also involved,
It is a welcome move by the DIT (Vig.) to elicit the feed back. But he is also to ensure that the punitive actions initiated some years back are to be concluded logically. Recently, when I obtained the information about the disposals, review of the pending cases, it is sad to note that this directorate had never reviewed the pending cases (at least in the cited cases). The what is the use of such feed back? Is it wise open more and more cases for disciplinary proceedings without reviewing and concluding logically?
