Insolvency Bankruptcy Board of India grants recognition to two Registered Valuers Organizations

In pursuance to the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) has recognized today the following two Registered Valuers Organizations:

a. The Institution of Estate Managers and Appraisers in the Asset Class of Land and Building, and

b. The IOV Registered Valuers Foundation in the Asset Classes of:

i) Land and Building

ii) Plant and Machinery, and

iii) Securities or Financial Assets.

2. In accordance with the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017, these Registered Valuers Organizations shall conduct educational courses in valuation, grant membership and certificate of practice to individuals, conduct training for its members and lay down and enforce the Code of Conduct for the registered valuers, who are its members.

  1. I am registered valuer IOV Calcutta and Govt.Of India Income tax Department for Immovable property land buildings. At present panel Valuer with SBI.I am asked by the Bank to as mandatory get Registration with IBBI. I am retired Engineer from Military Engineer Services Ministry of Defense. Kindly advise still I required get Registration From IBBI.

  2. Are the Promoter Directors existing Regd Valuers? Is the Company a result of conversion of existing Society/Trust or a new one?. What about admission/enrollment of Professionals in their respective Institutions or its subsidiary. Some more clarifications are required.
