im trying to validate itr 5 but its not working if new one has been posted its very shameful for it department it shuld be on the website from 01-04-2012 itself
Download I TR 5_PR9.xls from Tax Guru.com. This form is working. You can generate XML document and upload to the Income Tax Department web site. I have already uploaded many returns.
so many tax payers are facing the above difficulty in filing their I TR 5 . No NEW UPDATE is available so far.
Sad to state that at such National Levels our Govt. Officials run on trial and error basis without any sense of responsibility. There should be scrutinizing of these I.T. form compatibility before they are offloaded on the website for public. But who is there to care these things…!
Just tell me that are these people fools that they first give wrong forms (ITR-5) on their website and then don’t even bother to flash on the I.T. website that they have uploaded a new form ITR-5. Don’t they feel any sense of responsibility.
New Amended ITR-5 will be available on income tax site upto evening of 16/07/2012
which will not have above problem.

We are also facing same problem while filling up ITR-5 for the A/Y -2012-13 which asks to compulsory fill up the Schedule SI & FSI where as it should not be made compulsory, Please rectify these otherwise advice how to fill up the ITR-5
I am also facing the exactlyy same problem
while filing ITR 5 2012-13 we are facing problems in efiling. sheet SI which is for special tax rate ,we r forced to fill up.which cannot be compulsory to all.this is a technical error ,please rectify it as early as possible
