Special Placement Programme through Video Conferencing Mode for Organizations functioning in Gulf Council Countries (GCC

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (Act No XXXVIII of 1949) for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. During its 61 years of existence, ICAI has achieved recognition as a premier accounting body not only in the country but also globally, for its contribution in the fields of education, professional development, maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards. ICAI is the second largest accounting body in the world.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, through its Committee for Members of Industry looks after the interest of the members who are employed in Industry. ICAI is committed to provide the opportunities to the members to enhance their knowledge sets & also assist in their career growth. The Committee for Members in Industry takes several initiatives for the betterment of Chartered Accountants including creating job opportunities.

The Committee regularly conducts different Placement Programmes for the newly qualified and experienced chartered accountants. Several reputed organisations from across the country and also from abroad participate in the Placement Programmes and use the services of the ICAI for selecting Chartered Accountants. It is also found that many companies in the UAE and other Gulf Council Countries employ Chartered Accountants from India.

Considering the requirements of the companies, the Committee for Members in Industry has decided to initiate a Special Placement Programme for the organisations in Gulf Council Countries/ Middle East Countries through video conferencing on 7th ? 8th December, 2010.

The interview will be conducted through video-conferencing mode facility with the organizations at one end in the GCC region/ Middle East and the candidates at the other end in India.
