Accounting regulator ICAI for the third time today extended the deadline given to four members of Price Waterhouse-Bangalore to respond to the show-cause notices issued in connection with the Rs 7,800-crore Satyam fraud case.

The four Price Waterhouse CAs– P Shiva Prasad, C H Ravindranath, Srinivas Talluri and S Gopalakrishnan — have been given time up to April 2 to reply to the showcause notices, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India President A T M Agarwal told reporters here.

Former chief financial officer of Saytam Computer Vadlamani Srinivas has also been given time up to April 9 to respond to his show cause notice.

The PW auditors, Agarwal added, had requested for “reasonable and realistic time considering the volume of records”.

The ICAI had issued notices to members of PW-Bangalore in January. The auditors were asked to respond within 21 days.

On a request by the PW auditors, the ICAI extended the time to reply to show-cause notices up to March 2. The deadline for replying to showcause notices was extended for the third time today.
