Wipro Limited, a prominent AI-powered technology services and consulting firm, has announced its financial results for the quarter ending September 30, 2026, showcasing a period of modest growth and strategic advancements. The company’s gross revenue reached ₹247.5 billion, reflecting a 1.1% increase quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and a 9.1% rise year-on-year (YoY). The IT services segment, however, experienced a slight revenue decline of 0.1% QoQ, though it marked a 0.3% increase YoY.

The company’s operating margin for the IT services segment stood at 16.5%, a 0.5% sequential increase, albeit a 0.2% decrease compared to the previous year. Despite a decline in net income to ₹32.0 billion, representing a 4.7% drop QoQ and a 1.9% decrease YoY, Wipro’s earnings per share saw a 4.2% YoY increase, reaching ₹3.23. The robust operating cash flow, amounting to ₹53.0 billion, was a significant highlight, representing 165.8% of the net income, showcasing Wipro’s effective cash flow management.

Wipro’s strategic focus on AI and technology transformation is evident in its recent deal wins. The company secured significant contracts across various sectors, including a partnership with a major US-based bank to modernise its mortgage operations using Wipro’s NetOxygen platform. Additionally, Wipro expanded its relationship with a global technology company to enhance its Enterprise Products organisation. The company also embarked on transformative engagements with a US-based health insurance provider and a global biotechnology company, emphasising its commitment to operational efficiency and innovation.

Looking ahead, Wipro projects its IT services revenue for the quarter ending December 31, 2026, to range between $2,571 million and $2,625 million, translating to a potential sequential growth of up to 0.5% in constant currency terms. This cautious outlook reflects the company’s strategic investments and its focus on leveraging AI as a long-term growth driver.

Market analysts view Wipro’s results as a testament to its strategic initiatives, particularly in AI and digital transformation, which are expected to foster growth in the evolving technology landscape. Despite challenges in the IT services segment, Wipro’s focus on innovation and strategic partnerships positions it well for future opportunities.
