In supersession of Public Notice No. 31 dated 12.8.1997 it has been decided that the Roller Flour Mills can freely import wheat under Actual User condition directly or through State Trading Corporation of India Limited (STC), Projects Equipments Corporation (P.E.C.) and Minerals & Metals Trading Corporation of India Limited (M.M.T.C.), to meet their own requirements for milling purposes only.
Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 7 (RE-98) 1997- 2002 dated 24.4.98 wherein one time extension upto 30th September, 1998 in export obligation period for Quantity Based Advance Licences was provided,subject to the terms and conditions indicated therein.
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part – II, Section – 3 – Sub-section (ii) vide S.O. No. 283(E) dated 31.3.1997, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes following amendment in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1) (RE : 98), 1997-2002.
The description of export product at S.No. 59 of textile product as given in Annexure to Public Notice No. 6(RE-98) shall be amended to read as Cotton fabric Dyed and /or printed and/or bleached.
The exempt material which remain unutilised after the expiry of export obligation period, shall be liable for payment of Customs duty together with 24% interest per annum and surrender of SIL equivalent to 5 times the CIF value of such excess imports, if the imported inputs is under the negative list of imports.
A Software Technology Park unit may import free of duty all types of goods, including capital goods required by it for manufacture, production or processing provided they are not prohibited items in the Negative List of imports. The software Technology Parks Complex set up by the Central Government, Public or Private Sector Undertakings or any combination, duly approved by the Inter-Ministerial Standing Committee and Software Technology Parks.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, the Director General of Foreidgn Trade hereby makes the following amendments in Schedule 2 Appendix 1 of the Book Titled, ” ITC(HS) Classification of Export & Import Items 1997-2002.
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in the Handbook of procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002.
Attention is invited to Paragraph 7.8 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as amended and Paragraphs 7.8, 7.9 and 7.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 1997-2002, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002 as amended from time to time.
The follwing entry shall be added as S. No.38 in the Schedule 2 Appendix I of the Book titled ” ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items 1997-2002.
