7th November have been passed. CBDT/Govt. well known how many Audited return have been filled and how much remain. after considering, Govt. have to announce till 30th November, 2017. This is necessity of filling. I am not back. but other CAs also wait for further.

  2. P.VIVEKCHANDRAN says:

REASON FOR EXTENSION OF TIME WHETHER DUE TO DEPARTMENT NOT ABLE TO HANDLE THE FILING ON LAST DATE OR TO ACCEDE TO THE REASONABLE REQUEST BY THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY WHO ARE THE BACKBONE OF THE ECONOMY

  3. CHANDRASHEKHARA S V says:

The Finance minsiter and CBDT are not having ground reality. Auditors will never wait for last movement but nowawdays all the works should be done through online. Within the limited time of website functioning those who are getting online reports quickly are very lucky. Most of the time income tax website is not working properly more over this year all auditors are suffering from GST portal eronous function especeialy this year they should give time upto 31 December 2017 for tax audit filing.

  4. Chaitanya says:

Those in practice know how difficult it was yesterday to file income tax returns. The portal was down and not working properly. The tax professionals and CAs could not file the returns because site problems. The dept. should have known this and given the extension immediately. But they waited till 10. 20 pm to wake up and issue a notification, so that the assessee is made to suffer maximum. The notification talks about representations from Tax Professionals. there no mention of the website/portal not working properly due to which the returns could not be filed. We help the Govt. in nation building, but the Govt. always looks at us professionals not performing our duties.

Still CBDT does not know the ground realities. 7 days extension is not sufficient. Only after completing GST filing, Assessees will concentrate on IT filing. For GST, time is extended upto 30th Nov.

GOVERNMENT ( ANY GOVT) SHOULD CONSIDER THE PROBLEMS FACED BY THE PROFESSIONALS AND THE DEALERS/BUSINESS CLASS. THE INCOME TAX WEBSITE WAS NOT WORKED FROM 3PM ITSELF UPTO 8.30PM BUT NOTIFIES EXTENSION BY 10.30PM. WHAT HAPPENED TO THESE GUYS ? (F.M, SENIOR OFFICIALS OF CBDT)

  7. Pintu Sabat says:

time extension is a good deal from CBDT. But why they notify at the last moment of filing. Without any early notification tax practitioners face very difficulty hoping for a extension, but they had to filing returns on a hurry basis which may compromise the effective compliances on tax audit. But I am in confusion that why the auditees and auditors wait for last hour filing as the FY ends on 31st March. They have enough time 6 months to file returns in most appropriate manner. After forgoing six months time limit why they seek for more time extension???

  8. Kaushal Prasad says:

Respected P. M. Sir, request you to please replace FM Mr. Arun Jethli. Mr. Suresh Prabhu is deserve Finance Minister of India.

    with regards

  10. Treatment after death (Demonetization was treatment but failure, GST is treatment but failure on the economic parameter and self on GST portal, date extended for one weak for “Tax Audit” is also as life saving drugs which is like save of life or death.) Thank for this type of think and thought of CBDT who think about 90% assessee suffering and demanding up to 30 Nov. 2017 extension.

  11. Premilla says:

7 days extension! Big deal! Is it sufficient compensation for the time wasted, yes, wasted, due to glitches in the GST website?…….Like throwing crumbs to beggars from a rich man’s table
