    Dear Sir,

I have wrongly mentioned my Aadhar No. in Passport no. column in ITR 4. Is it necessary to send correction to IT department through e-filing. Kindly guide me. Though I am submitting ITR-V separately.

    Thanks and regards,

    S P Singh

    Hi,

I have one house jointly with spouse and another is under construction have few questions kindly answer:-

    1) 1st house is self occupied and I am claiming tax benefit for the same but second house is under construction for last 4 years with loan from SBI.I am paying interest and now they have started deducting principal amount as well.Am i eligible for tax benfit for second house?

    2) Which form shall I fill for filing tax return in above case?

  3. SB says:

    Response :

The bank accounts do not match is because there is a field on top saying = How many bank accounts? You will have 1 account where you will expect refund if any. Then there are say N other accounts. In the space for How many bank accounts, you need to enter 1 + N. Most likely our total count does not match.

Also, if you type the IFSC code, the Java software will automatically supply the bank name because the first 4 characters are unique to each bank. Do not enter the bank name by hand.

Lastly, I prefer to use the Java or Excel utilities, rather than direct online submission. You do not need to be connected to the internet all the time, there is no session time out, and you can come back, revisit your return as many times as you want, before you have verified it and are happy to submit it.

    Sir
I am in merchant navy and had been maintaining NRE/NRI status ie employed more tan 184 days abroad.
I had been filing ITR 1 so far.
I have taken possession of second house in sept 2014.
Kindly advise, which form should I file return.

    08-07-2015

    Sir,

I have been filing the returns of income online for the past 4 years. Today while trying to file the return of income of my daughter-in-law in form No. 4S (as in previous year), I have filled all her bank accounts in the two banks i.e. SBH and ICICI. When clicked submit button, the message was that “the bank accounts did not match”. I had not declared the RD accounts and TDR accounts in SBH.

The point is that whether the RD and TDR accounts are also to be declared. I have no objection to declare even these accounts.

Please advise me. I am not a regular tax practitioner and I shall use this information for family members filing only.

    Yours truly,

FOR SANDEEP KUMAR, THERE IS NO PROBLEM IN 80G WHILE ADDING ROWS, I HAVE CHECKED IT, AND I WILL SUGGEST YOU TO ENABLE MICROS OR DOWNLOAD ITR4S AGAIN.

  9. NAVIN AGICHA says:

ABOVE I HAVE MENTIONED ABOUT OPT SYSTEM , BUT THAT IS STILL NOT IMPLEMENTED BY INCOME TAX, SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE. AT PRESENT PROCEDURE IS SAME AS EARLIER EVEN AFTER MENTIONING AADHAR CARD, NO OTP WILL BE PROVIDED AND ITR V IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT TO BANGALORE WITHIN 120 DAYS.

  10. M K SRIDHARN says:

Sir, I am presently staying in USA and have no mobile but I have aadhar number
Whether the department will send OTP through e mail or whether I can generate
ITRV and post it. What is the position of residents who had come abroad?

  11. NAVIN AGICHA says:

    for Sarveshwar Mundra,
Sir, It there is agricultural income more than 5000 and suppose there is any capital gain or any international transaction, then ITR 2 is required to be filled.
and IF there is agricultural income more than 5000 and no other income which required ITR 2 necessary then ITR 2A is required to be filled.
And IF agricultural income is less then or equal to Rs 5000/- and other income which can be filled in ITR 1 then ITR 1 is required to be filled.

  12. sarveshwar mundra says:

Please clarify in ITR 2 and ITR 2A regarding point – Not Applicable for those having agricultural more than Rs. 5000/-( they have to use ITR 2 or 2A )
