ICAI President CA Manoj Fadnis has vide letter dated 14.09.2015 bearing no. ICAI/DTC/2015-16/Rep-24 has written a letter to Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley  and requested for extension of the due date of filing tax audit report and income-tax return for the AY 2015-16.

CA Manoj Fadnis said in his letter that Assessee and Professionals are not left with sufficient time due to delayed  notification and e-enabling of return forms and such delay is causing genuine hardship to the assessees and members of the profession.

ICAI President CA Manoj Fadnis suggested that The ‘specified date’ for the purpose of audit of accounts and furnishing report of such audit under section 44AB is the due date of filing return of income under section 139(1). Therefore, in the interest of the stakeholders and the Revenue, the said date for A.Y. 2015-16 for assessees mentioned Under clause (a) of Explanation 2 to section 139(1) be extended from 30th September, 2015 to atleast 31st October, 2015.

Why CBDT became rigid about CA’s and assessees they are the key rollers in indian economy. Previous year the last date was 30-11-2014 why it is not continue and declare before 30-03-2015. The CA’s, Auditors, and ACcountants bearing lot of anxious and very tense and they are facing lot of health problems due to the delay of declaration of extension. It is very sad to say CBDT are commanding to asseesees and Auditors. It is not a good sign to move each others. Please extend the due date upto 30-11-2015

  8. karanam Subba Rao says:

sir , i must be thankfull to ICAI and CA Avinash Guptha and Others for their full efforts puting to Fight with CBDT for Peoples sake. They were not fight for them selves
we must be thank full to them.As Accountant i feel very Bad for lazy bahaviour of CBDT.
If date is Extended at least One month, what is CBDT Looasing?.Why CBDT can do thease type? In Our AP , our Sales Tax Department has bring Lot of Amendments in filing of VAT Returns form June 2015 on words for Revenue Increasing. In This connection we all concentrate on that work Up to August 2015 with daily meetings and awarenss programmes etc on behalf of our Dealers. So we have not time to Complete Accounts to Audit u/s44AB.So once again i will request to CBDT to Extend The Due Date at least 31st October 2015.Karanam Subba rao , Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh

    1. TARUN KUMAR MOHARANA says:

CBDT SHOULD FIX THE DUE DATE WITH PRIOR APPROVAL FROM ICAI AS CA’S ARE EXPERT TO COUNT THE DAY/TIME REQUIRED TO THE AUDIT WORK, THEY ARE NOT ROBERT OR MACHING PUT DOCUMENST IN ONE END AND GOT READY MADE B/SHEET IN ANOTHER HAND.. TIME WILL DEFINITELY REQUIRED FOR AN AUDITOR DO DISCHARGES HIS DUTY EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY

  9. Atul shah says:

Good action by ICAI hope Finance minister will take appropriate action.Finance minister should take decisions immediately don’t wait till last day

hopefully date will be extended but will any action be taken against the CAs whose are doing tax audit in wholesales basis doing TAR in rs 800 – 1000 for 500 – 750 audits

  12. HARIPRASAD G says:

Good effort by ICAI and hope Govt /CBDT will extend the due date without any loss of time so that we can conduct audit without any tension & free mind. When sword of 30th Sept hanging on our necks ,it is much difficult to conduct audit properly.

  13. joy says:

    Thank You Mr. Fadnis
