Attention – Tax Payers.
The Income Tax Department is observing the first fortnight of September, 2012 starting from 03/09/2012 to 14/09/2012 as “Demand Management Fortnight”. In this regard a single window grievance cell has been set up to receive, acknowledge, and monitor grievance petitions pertaining to demand adjustment by CPC Bangalore for entire CCIT (CCA) Delhi Region. All taxpayers having a grievance pertaining to incorrect arrears demand communicated / adjusted by CPC, Bangalore are required to contact to the following officer.

Any idea about the concerned person for Mumbai office?
After payment of demands ACIT CPC communicating demand jurisdictional A.O.not able to delete the demand after making payment or on a/c of rectification. Once demand uploaded by the Jurisidctional A.O then demand either paid or reduced to nil on a/c rectification. The A>O CPC adjusting the demand resulted double collection of demands. In a The A.O. adjusted from PD A/c then recovery through future refunds is effective.

When most of the demands are sent by email then why email of the respective officers are not given as most of the assessee are residing across the country facing the problem. The “Demand Management Fortnight” is only for the assessee of the Delhi region. Why this discrimination is done among the asseesee of different parts of the country. Is only the pepople of the Delhi region are facing the problem!!! why not there a uniform policy !!! Govt. Policy is divide and rule.
