    Dear colleagues,

Which for is applicable for a socoiety for no TDS deduction ?
If a society is provided exemption certificate u/s 12A/12AA, does it require to submit 15G along with copy of 12A certificate ??

When there is no “End Date” (valid till date) is not mentioned in the 12A Exemption Certificate and a bank argue on this point, what justification should be given to the bank sothat it satisfies the argument ??

Kindly respond with the facts and existing norms of the Income tax with references (if any)

Please inform me , whether filing of IT return on ITR-2 , is compulsory , in cases , where Form 15-G / H is periodically submitted to the banks every year , by the non- tax payers ( ie. whose inst.income below tax range ) and whose interest on deposits exceed Rs. 10,000/- per year.
    Thanks,
    G.V.N.Prasad

The 5000 Rs limit was fixed 20 years back&needs upward revision to atleast 20000Rs. Instead of this , the IT dept has modified the form.

See the new Forms 15H & 15G. The details to be provided are such that it will be almost impossible. How to find old records as when the stocks & shares etc. were purchased and at what price. What is the dividend income etc.
How to find as to how much dividend a company will declare ? Like wise other details are also difficult to provide.

  6. rugram says:

The only major change in these forms, compared to the earlier versions, is the addition of a column to mention the total estimated income from all sources, including the income for which exemption from TDS is requested. The columns are also reorganised better, though the need to requirement for assessees to sign twice on the same declaration has been retained – it should have been enough to ask for only one signature instead of two, by combining the ‘Verification’ with the earlier columns.
The late publication of these forms, at the fag end of FY 2012-13, raises a question whether the previous version of these forms submitted prior to the modified forms, are valid and whether assessees are required to resubmit the relevant declaration once again. This is causing confusion and harassment to both assessees and the tax deductors.
Another doubt is whether these format can be used for filing declaration for FY 2013-14 which is now on, or whether one has to wait till the end of this FY to know the wording of these two forms. Tax deductors would deduct tax at source for FY 2013-14 if these forms for AY 2014-15 are not announced immediately.
It would also be relevant to ask whether the ITR forms for AY 2013-14 have been notified or not.
Surely we expected the CBDT to be more pro-active in announcing the changes in 15G/H forms and in finalising the ITR forms for AY 2013-14.

The arrogance on the part of the IT officials is causing innumerable problems to the people at large. There were no changes in the forms for several years .However now a days merely in the name of economic neccsity the BABUS to satisfy their personal ego of causing harassment to the people and simply to keep them busy with the unproductive work ,keep on changing the forms .The GOVT shall always run in deficit with hundreds of BABUS enjoying salary in six digits and that too for causing harassment and keeping them busy with the non productive work.

  9. Anil says:

My bank says that only one form 15-H is required for not deducting tax even though any number FDRs can be made subsequently. Is it correct interpretation? If I make the first deposit of 1 lac rupees and submit form No.15-H will it suffice if I made further deposits of say 10 lacs?

  10. R S SHAH says:

Further to our request about Form 15H being uploaded as Form 15G, There also seems to be some problem in the software ? Does it take much more time to download the attachments ?. Form 15G took a lot of time to download. Is there new software being used ?.
    Thanks

  11. R S SHAH says:

The download for form 15H also comes as Form 15G- Perhaps by Mistake, while uploading only form 15G is uploaded and form 15H is left out.
Sugget to upload form 15H and inform the viewers about it.
    Thanks.

  12. K K SARAOGI says:
