As on 11/2/2011 it has processed over 34.1 lakh e-filed returns of AY 2010-11 in all categories of ITRs including Corporate Returns and generated refunds in over 8.6 lakh cases.

The Income Tax Department has now extended the last date for sending ITR Vs for AY 2010-11 to 31st July, 2011 or 120 days whichever is later. All taxpayers are requested to send their ITR-V early so that processing and issue of refunds can be completed.

Marking the advent of Income Tax department in digital era, all intimation orders are being sent by e-mail to taxpayers as a digitally signed password protected PDF document. SMS alerts (where mobile number is provided) to taxpayers on completion of processing and determination of refunds has been introduced for ITRs of AY 2010-11.

    Dear Madam/Sir,

    My ITR-V for the Financial Year 2011-12 has been submitted by me this Assessment Year 2012-13 and I got the confirmation on 04th Oct’2012 of E-filing IP add.202.142.90.135

    I still have not received the refund which is Rs.10600/- in my united bank of india Saving Account.

    I am not been able to check the status of my refund on nsdl website

    Below is the status message comes after entering my PAN details as below:

    REFUND STATUS
    Permanent Account Number (PAN): AIGPG0007M
    Assessment Year: 2012-2013
    Your assessing officer has not sent this refund to Refund Banker.
    If this refund has been sent by your Assessing Officer within the last week, you may wait for a week and again check status.

    I still have not received the refund which is Rs.18700/- in my Standard Chartered Bank’s Saving Account.

    I am not been able to check the status of my refund on nsdl website

    Below is the status message comes after entering my PAN details as below:

    REFUND STATUS
    Permanent Account Number (PAN): ANQPK0038B
    Assessment Year: 2012-2013
    Your assessing officer has not sent this refund to Refund Banker.
    If this refund has been sent by your Assessing Officer within the last week, you may wait for a week and again check status.

    Note:- Please contact your Assessing Officer.
    Insist on Computerised Challan Counterfoil from bank for tax deposited.

    I need to know why my refund has not been transferred to my account till date and if there is any objection then why i’m not been informed on any of my registered communication details.

    Awaiting for your favorable & prompt reply on the same to avoid any further delays in my tax refund.
