The calculator will calculate the Long Term and Short term Capital gain on Sale of Shares automatically and provides a total at the bottom of Total Short Term Capital Gain, Total Long term Capital Gain and Total Capital Gain on Sale of Shares. Please note Quantity of Purchase and sale should be same.

    Which taxes & charges (i.e.Brokarage, Security transaction tax, Transaction charges, Sebi Turn Over tax, Service tax) can be include/deduct in “Cost Price” of Purchase / sale of share” for calculation of Long/Short term Capital Gain.

    Useful format. Pls let me know whether the purchase and sale amount inclusive of brokerage and other charges and taxes by the exchange.

    If it can automatically calculate proportionate cost of respective Qty sold, then it can be of some real use. For instance, if 100 Sh of RIL are purchased for Rs.100000 and where only 25 Sh are sold, then it should take cost as Rs.25k only, and show CG accordingly
    The column of Qty Sold (Column G in the sheet) becomes redundant otherwise
