Respected Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji
Honorable Finance Minister,
Ministry of Finance,
Government of India,
NEW DELHI

Dear Mem,

Re: – Request for Extension of due date of GST Annual Return GSTR 9 and GST Audit 9C.

With reference to above it is respectfully submitted on behalf of tax payers of the country that due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic it is still not possible for the tax payers to comply in short Gap of the due date under the Direct tax, specially the due dates for GST annual returns and audit for the Financial year 2019-20, As the due date of Income tax return for Tax payers, who are partner or proprietor in Audited firm was 15th feb 2021, for the Financial year 2019-20.

The main reason is that due to the corona effect the tax payers are not able to visit their Tax professionals to complete these procedural formalities and further at some places they are not able to collect the required documents and information for compliance of these dates. Even they are not able to reply the routine notices issued by various departments.

Hope your good self will understand the problems of common tax payers and extend due date and compliance date to 31st March 2021.

Yours

ITS VERY DIFFICULT AFTER FILING ITR UP TO 10H JAN WE HAVE TO CONCETRATE ON GST R9 AND 9C. EVERY SSI UNIT CAN NOT KEEP ACCOUNTANT THATS WHY THEY COME TO PRACTIONER IT VERY DIFFICULT TO COP UP DATES

  2. Greenize Jain says:

I am not seeing representations to the Finance Minister for extending the due date. Everyone is in harsh circumstances. There is possibility of another lockdown in some states due to increase in number of Covid cases. Is it assumed that this date would be automatically extended or we will get a surprise at 28th midnight only.

  3. Mikiesh says:

There is very less gap of Days as 15th Feb , filed income Tax return and on 28th Feb GST audit . Its very difficult for big company to provide data and after that checking. Due to Covid time also constrain of staff to attend office. Please extend date to 31.3.2021

  4. PRADEEP says:

Please extended the due date for GSTR9 & 9C for the FY 2019-2 and also increase the threshold limit for gstr9 up to 5cr for small tax payers.

  5. SATISH KUMAR AGARWAL says:
