NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 2nd May, 2014

G.S.R. 308 (E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 283 of the Constitution, the President hereby makes the following further amendment in the National Small Savings Fund (Custody and Investment) Rules, 2001, namely:

1.  (1) These rules may be called the National Small Savings Fund (Custody and Investment) Amendment Rules, 2014.

(2) They shall be deemed to have come into force on the 1st day of April, 2014.

2. In the National Small Savings Fund (Custody and Investment) Rules, 2001, in rule 9, after sub-rule (11), the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:-

(12) “The period of repayment of amount against securities, by  the Centre and States shall be ten years with no moratorium and the on securities shall be paid by the Centre and States on half yearly basis”.

Note : – The Principal rules were published in the Gazette of India vide Notification number G.S.R. 114(E), dated the 27th February, 2001 and amended vide G.S.R No. 587(E), dated the 12th September and G.S.R No. 841 (E), dated the 25th November, 2011.
