Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a notification on January 29, 2025, amending accreditation details for several laboratories under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006. Key updates include changes in the Northern, Western, and Eastern regions. In Haryana, HTH Laboratories in Panipat received updated accreditation details. Rajasthan’s Jagdamba Laboratories in Jaipur also underwent amendments, while Uttar Pradesh saw the deletion of a previously accredited laboratory. In the Western region, Madhya Pradesh also saw a laboratory removed, while Maharashtra’s FHHL Private Limited in Pune had its accreditation updated. Additionally, two new laboratories in Thane and Raigad were added to Maharashtra’s list. In the Eastern region, Omshiva Test House in Patna, Bihar, was newly accredited. These updates reflect FSSAI’s ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance food safety standards by revising the accreditation scope of laboratories across India.

No. QA-12012/8/2021-QA-FSSAI.– In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 43 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following amendment in the notification number S.O. number 3648 (E) published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 6th December, 2016, namely: –
